Important Event Details
This is an In-PERSON event. In order to attend, you will need to register here! If you are not an AIWN member, or a guest of an AIWN member, you will need to pay the registration fee of $25. At the door registration is $35.
COVID-19 Concerns
We are excited to see everyone in person again, but are encouraging the following precautions to keep everyone safe:
- We have many attendees who may face higher risks than average if they get sick with COVID. We are all responsible for protecting each other, so that we can continue to enjoy meeting in person. If you have elected not to get a COVID vaccine, please consider the following options:
- a) Consider not attending the event. It is difficult to keep germs from transferring to others in an enclosed space, and you may be putting other people at risk if you are not protected against COVID with a vaccine.
- b) If you plan to attend the live event without being vaccinated, please wear a mask, and consider skipping the networking / hors d’oeuvres portion of the event as this will be a time where masks are off and people are closer together.
- We encourage all attendees to wear masks as you feel comfortable, although we are not requiring masks. If you have not received a COVID vaccine, please wear a mask.
- We will plan to be in a large enough space that we can keep some distance in between us while listening to the speaker.
- Prior to the speaker, we will have socializing and hors d’oeuvres, which will be a difficult time to remain distanced / masks on. If you are uncomfortable with being close to others without a mask, you may want to consider arriving late to skip this part of the event. If you would like to skip this part, please aim to arrive around 7:15, at which point we will take our seats and do introductions.
- If you have any symptoms of illness, whether COVID, a cold, stomach flu, or other, please stay home! We will happily refund your ticket upon request. Please email Kelly-Ann Green at ka@kagreencpa.com if you would like a refund due to staying home due to symptoms of illness.
Format and What to Expect
Our meeting will start with socializing and hors d’oeuvres, from 6:30 to about 7:15. Food, water and iced tea is provided as part of your ticket price / membership. Soda and alcohol are available from the bar, but please note they take CASH ONLY, no credit cards accepted.
At 7:15, we will take our seats, hear brief announcements, and briefly introduce ourselves.
Our speaker event will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. The speaker may choose to linger and take questions after this, but most attendees head home between 8:30 and 9pm.
Then, our presenter(s) will launch into their presentation. Depending on the presenter, you may be encouraged to ask questions part way through, or at the end, but in general, you should get plenty of opportunity to interact, so bring all of your questions!
We can’t wait to see you there!
