AIWN May 2024 Networking Coffee Meeting

Networking - Where else can you go to meet, interact and network with other professional business women like yourself; women who face the same challenges... have the same goals. There are experiences we can share with each other; whether you're young or mature, own a small practice or run a large firm, just starting out or have been established for decades. General Contribution - $10. Tickets and membership opportunities are also available at the door. Format and What to Expect Arriving on time will afford you the time to chat with others and place your orders. Complementary coffee is available. If you're also interested in breakfast , First Watch has some fantastic options! Next, we jump into introductions of all attendees. We keep these introductions to under 30 seconds in length so that we have time for everyone to take a turn. Then we talk, laugh (important) and network! COVID-19 Concerns: We ask that you please be mindful of member concerns: Covid-19 is more than a distant memory. Please keep in mind, several of our members or their family members are considered high risk. What do you really know about your insurance coverage? At home and at work. Join us for an intriguing and exciting overview of what’s happening in the insurance industry and how it may impact you. We’ll also discuss a variety of options to protect your personal and business assets. About the Speaker Katy started her carrier in insurance with The Travelers Insurance Company in their Commercial Business program. She later joined Risk Management & Consulting Group, Inc. which focused on acting as the Risk Manager for numerous municipalities. She later joined Fred. S. James and worked as an assistant Account Executive on numerous large commercial accounts. After much thought and encouragement by FSJ colleagues and some friends who were State Farm Agents, Katy started the interview process to become a State Farm Agent. After two years, it all came to reality in September, 1989 when I opened my agency doors in Decatur, GA. Our agency currently has 4, full-time, fully licensed Team Members – each with at least 20 years experience. We take pride in providing exceptional, professional and personal customer service and live our Mission every day “to help people protect what matters most”. We enjoy meeting with customers and prospects to educate them on what they have and why they have it and uncover any gaps in coverage. Katy majored in Risk Management & Insurance from UGA (1984) and holds the ARM (Associate in Risk Management) designation. (Has also held the Series 6 & 63 licenses, CSA – Certified Senior Advisor designation and currently has her Mortgage License). Married, 2 kids, 3 dogs. Escape the Summer Sizzle with Successful Women! It has certainly been blazing hot out there! Escape the summer sizzle with successful women! Take a couple of hours to just get away. Drinks, laughter and lively conversation is enjoyed by all. We know after a long hot day, the last thing you may be considering is another stop. However, how "cool" would it not be to get together at another great AIWN networking event! Parking is free. Join us for Happy Hour from 6 - 8. Appetizers are included; cash bar. Your Votes Matter! If you haven't already, check your registration status. Has your voting district or polling station changed? If you haven't voted early, and you need to be sure that you show up at the correct polling location, where and how can you check? Do you know how to download a sample ballot? Obviously, our next president matters. But, what about the specific things that are on your local ballot? Who represents your district? What are your referendums? How will a referendum affect you? What about judges, and law enforcement? The purpose is for you and every attendee be able to understand the full spectrum of your decisions, and how they can affect your... our future.
